How to Use TENGA Flip for the First Time

Step 1: Prepare Lubricant

TENGA Flip is a reusable product that does not come pre-lubricated. You need water-based lubricant before each use.

We recommend TENGA Hole Lotion, designed specifically for TENGA products. Never use silicone-based or oil-based lubricant, as these damage the material.

Step 2: Open and Apply Lubricant

Open the Flip lid slightly and apply lubricant inside. Use a moderate amount, just enough to coat the internal surfaces evenly.

Step 3: Close and Use

Close the lid and use normally. The Pressure Pads on both sides can be squeezed to adjust tightness during use, which is the Flip's key feature that no other TENGA model offers.

How to Clean TENGA Flip

This is what makes Flip different from other TENGA models: the hinged design makes cleaning easy and thorough.

Immediately After Use (Critical)

1. Open the Flip fully on both sides. You'll see the entire internal surface
2. Rinse under warm running water. Let water flow over the interior, gently rubbing with your fingers. No scrubbing needed.
3. Mild soap only, if any. TENGA's official guidance allows neutral or mild soap but warns that acidic or alkaline soaps damage the material. Never use alcohol or other cleaners. Warm water alone is usually enough.
4. Rinse until all lubricant is removed. If it still feels slippery, keep rinsing.

Drying

1. Gently pat dry with a clean towel or tissue
2. Air-dry completely in a shaded area. Leave for 1-2 hours or overnight. Never store while still damp, as moisture can cause mould.
3. Do not use a hair dryer. High heat damages the material.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• Avoid placing against hard plastic for extended periods, which can deform the material
• A light dusting of cornstarch or talcum powder helps prevent surfaces from sticking together

Signs It's Time to Replace

TENGA Flip is durable but has a finite lifespan. Watch for these signs:

• Interior surface becomes rough or torn: stop using immediately
• Material becomes abnormally sticky: a sign of material degradation
• Unusual odour persists after washing: time for a replacement
