Vibration you feel in three dimensions

Most vibrators shake because a weighted motor spins inside them. HapticWave drives the silicone with low-frequency sound waves instead, closer to the way a game controller or a phone produces its rumble, so the sensation has shape to it and carries further through the body.

Ten rhythms, three strengths

The patterns run from a gentle oscillation through waltz, taiko drum and bubbling water to a lively beat, ten in all. Each one sets to low, mid or high, giving thirty combinations to move between while you use it.

Clean, and waterproof to 50 cm

An anti-dust coating stops the silicone picking up lint in a drawer, and the whole vibrating unit goes under running water, so washing it before and after every use takes seconds.

1. Charge it fully before the first use. Sit the vibrating unit on the charging base so the magnetic terminal meets the metal contact, with the flower mark on the USB cable facing up. The lamp blinks while it charges and goes out when the battery is full, after about 90 minutes.
2. Wash it before the first use, then apply a water-based lubricant if you want one. Silicone-based and oil-based lubricants, massage oil and baby oil all damage the silicone.
3. Press and hold the flower button for three seconds to switch on.
4. Press the flower button again to step through the ten rhythm patterns, R1 to R10.
5. Press the smaller strength button to cycle through low, mid and high.
6. Press and hold the flower button for three seconds again to switch off.

Between sessions. The charging base holds the unit magnetically and works as a stand, so it can sit out ready to use. Switch the power off before placing it there, and lift it off the stand to use it.

Take care. Do not press, pull or twist the vibrating unit with force, keep it off any one spot for longer than 15 minutes, and keep it out of salt water.

1. Wash the vibrating unit before the first use and after every use, in cold or tepid water. Never hot water, and never boil it.
2. A mild, neutral soap is fine. Alcohol and strongly acidic or alkaline cleaners are not, and neither is leaving it to soak.
3. Pat it dry with a cloth and leave it to air dry completely.
4. Once it is dry, set it back on the charging base and replace the cover to keep the dust off.

The charging base is not waterproof. Unplug the USB cable first, wipe the base with a damp, well wrung cloth, and never put it in water.

Storing it. Keep it away from heat, humidity and direct sunlight, and away from insecticides, solvents, silicone items and oil-based products, which can deform the material. The base holds a strong magnet, so keep it clear of cards with magnetic strips, watches and phones. Recharge it to full at least once every six months even when it is not in use.
